COVID-19 Update: The Camping events on this page are being updated often. The CSI Board is following state and local campground closures and the schedule is changed as needed. Please follow the guidelines published by the state public health departments. If you are not comfortable with being at a camp out you have registered for please remember to cancel your reservations (if any) with the campground and change your evite reservation to let the Host know you are not attending.

Cherry Creek State Park
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Welcome to Denver’s natural and spacious backyard playground. There’s so much to see and enjoy. ​Summers are busy and action packed while off-peak times are quiet and laid back. Anchored around a 880 surface acre reservoir, the park offers a natural prairie environment of gentle, rolling hills and complete outdoor recreation facilities, including camping, picnicking and facilities for group events.

Cherry Creek State Park

Chief Hosa
JUN 6-11
At an altitude of 7,700 feet, Chief Hosa campground opened in 1918 as “America’s first motor-camping area.” The campground spans 58 acres within the 2,400 acres of the City of Denver’s Genesee Mountain Park, which is home to a city-owned bison herd and provides a unique opportunity to view these animals in a natural habitat.
Glendo State Park, WY
July 25-30
Located on the North Platte River, 6 miles southeast of the town of Glendo, Wyoming. Glendo State Park has 7 campgrounds, 6 boat ramps, and a marina concession. The Glendo Dam Wetlands Trail, located along the river, just below the dam, features two fishing/observation piers. The Muddy Bay Wetlands Interpretive Nature Trail is located on the east side of Muddy Bay. Glendo Dam Overlook Trail is located north of Glendo Dam.
Lodgepole
Aug 6-8
Lodgepole Campground is a creekside destination with incredible Colorado mountain views. The campground is located 3 miles south of Jefferson Lake, one of the highest elevation lakes around, capping 10,685 feet elevation and bordered by steep 12,000 foot peaks. Fishing in both the creek and lake offer promising catches of trout.

Odd Fellows
Sep 10-13
The CSI board will pick up the cost of the campground for our CSI members. The camp is located 10 miles west of Canyon City and has several recreational activities in the area: Hiking, fishing (10 miles south on Arkansas River), DeWeese Lake is not far away, games/sport equipment, bird watching, and wildlife are some of the Activities available in the area.
Kenosha Pass Dispersed
Sep 19-23
Kenosha Pass provides access to the Colorado Trail as it heads southeast towards the Lost Creek Wilderness and west towards the Continetal Divide and Jefferson Lake. The Colorado Trail starts outside of Denver and ends in Durango. It runs adjacent to the Kenosha Pass and Kenosha East Campgrounds. This is a dispersed camping area.

Oct 18-23
Moab Utah
The resort is in Moab, just South of the Colorado River. Resort amenities include men’s and ladies’ restrooms (with showers), an outdoor pool and an adjacent outdoor hot tub. The region has lots of trails for all your favorite outdoor adventures. We will also do day trips to nearby Dead Horse State Park and Canyonlands National Park.
